The journey
continued to meet up with the KL division. Ekcheah made his special
appearance with his wife. Following then, the KL division joined us and
we started our rounds of quality check on all the cars. As the QA passed
with various individualistic of each car, off we went for a nice bowl of
ice fruit a.k.a "Chap Kaur", never ever found in Penang, i would say.
There, we had our rounds of updates on the T-shirt printout, knowledge
exchange and casual talks.
Well, a bowl of fruit ais didn't stop us to proceed to the famous all
hawkers in 1 shop where we had to seat separated to 3 tables as the
place is so way over crowded with people enjoying the good foods they
have to offer. There, we had special rojak, satay, chicken shredded ho
fun, chee cheong fun and many other stuffs, not forgetting the famous
Ipoh White Coffee.
For some, they had the first experience on peeling and eating lotus
seeds from a fresh lotus flower. I told you Ipoh had lots in stall for
us! |

Uncle Chuah made his
special appearance when he joined our convoy turning into the Ipoh train
station. It was a surprise for him to know the gang is around there!
We checked into our hotels after that. Bathed, rested, "ziggied" and
feeling refreshed and ready for meet up, we gathered at the other hotel
and proceeded for a visit the the famous 'Sam Poh Tong' temple. Joshua
and partner called. We decided to wait for them there. This is when the
rounds of stunts were performed- drifting at the wet soil and mud. Some
of us got first hand experience on how it feels like to be drifting and
this taught us how to know when and what to do during an uneventful
drift happen. Ray, the friendly "Ipohlian", introduced by Jomanchi then. |
