It was
a beautiful Sunday. The sun was up and the sky was bright. Not very
usual for this time of the year though. Someone must have prayed very
hard the previous night so that she can drive topless the next day.
Mind you, the car and not the driver going topless. I was cruising
along Jalan Kuching / Jalam Kepong, just enjoying basking in the morning
sun till I reached the MRR2 / Jalan Kepong roundabout. Damn it, I had
to slow down and looking downhill in front of me are miles and miles of
cars, lorries and whatever else that have wheels inching forward along
the infamous MRR2. Thank you YB Sam Veloo for constructing this
masterpiece to test our patience. Slowly the drivers inch forward. By
now four lanes of traffic has been formed. Twenty minutes and two
kilometers later, we found out the root of the evil, four lanes have now
been merged into a single lane. So much for testing our patience, Sam. |

Once the road constriction
had been cleared, it is all system go. Wanting to be very punctual for
the RV, manage to bring the speedometer to 150 at the very short
stretch, before pulling over into the Projet petrol station. Quite a
number of participants have arrived before me and barely ten minutes
later all participants arrived. A quick roll call confirmed the total
participants named below had arrived. |

Not bad, ten cars just to do a recce. Of course it is contrary to
military teaching that advocates recce party to be as small as
possible. Who cares what they teach. We just want to have a good time,
men and machines working in unison. After a short briefing Benny took
the lead as the leading scout with Jazz as the sweeper. |
